The Village Resort

The Village Resort used to be located adjacent to what is now Downtown Disney. It was the home of the Lake Buena Vista Golf Club and various types of villas including the great octagonal Treehouse Villas. Later the Village Resort became the Disney Institute where visitors could have an educational vacation with classes on many topics. Eventually this concept was phased out. All of the villas were demolished and the buildings constructed for the Institute were repurposed for the Disney Vacation Club resort, Saratoga Springs. I never really spent any time at this resort. I had been to their registration building a couple of times and I went to a party in one of the villas once but that's it. The property was very sprawling and not like any of the other resorts so there wasn't really anything for the casual visitor to see.

Village Resort probably taken from the Empress Lilly.
