Today we take a trip back to 1990 to see some of our dining options at the Walt Disney World Village.

Empress Lilly Swizzle Stick

I dug this out of a big bin of swizzle sticks at the Hukilau earlier this year.  I think I paid $3 for it and it's worth every penny.  On a related note, I've started a vintage swizzle stick collection.

Village Resort

Today I've got a 1988 Village Resort brochure (which I previously posted only the cover for) and a couple of pictures.  The two pictures are primarily of my grandparents and my sister on the bow of the Empress Lilly but there's a nice view of the Village Resort in the background.  The pictures date from the early 80's.

Empress Lilly / Fulton's Crabhouse

Empress Lilly

Today some pictures of the Empress Lilly before it became Fulton's Crabhouse. The Empress has an assortment of restaurants and lounges none of which did I ever have the pleasure to dine in.  I did attend some training classes there in the summer of 1995 but thats not the same now is it?

This photo shows the paddle wheel which churned the waters of the lagoon completing the illusion that this was a real ship.  Sadly the paddle wheel is now gone.
