Communicore Postcards

Postcard #0100-50027
A great view from near where Fountain View (Starbucks) is today.  Clean lines, landscaping and water, including a central fountain, were the dominant features of the central plaza of Communicore.

Some of the exhibits of Communicore including The Age of Information, SMRT-1, the Energy Exchange and the Travelport.

Looking down at Communicore and EPCOT from one of the glass pyramids of the Journey Into Imagination.

EPCOT Postcards

A flashback to EPCOT in its prime.

Postcard #46ec-2005
I wish this was a higher resolution scan.  This is post 1986 EPCOT since Morocco is visible on the far side of World Showcase lagoon.  Norway and the Wonders of life are not yet built.  Note the wonderful, open entrance plaza without the clutter of the Leave A Legacy tombstones.  Horizons still shines brightly on the west (left) side of Future World.

EPCOT Pins

All three of these pins come from around 1999-2000.

This pin comemmorates that horrible waste of money and fantastic eyesore, the 2000 wand.

Spaceship Earth

Simple unobstructed view of the entry plaza during the 15 Years of Magic Celebration.

Spaceship Earth with a non-Nemo Living Seas.

Boy I miss these acrylic prisms on this fountain.  It just looks odd without them.

Another shot of the entrance plaza from the far left.

Coral Reef anyone?

Before that stupid stage was contructed blocking much of this view.  Also no other clutter in Future World.

Clutter (stage and otherwise)

Not possible to take this picture anymore.

1939 World's Fair Flashback

Are we at EPCOT in 2011 or have we stepped back in time to New York in 1939.

EPCOT Button

What a cute button featuring Mickey and Figment in front of Spaceship Earth.
