The Enchanted Tiki Room

The Enchanted Tiki Room (Tropical Serenade) has always been one of my favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom. I love the show, the songs, and the fantastic Pacific island architecture of the buildings. I don't visit much anymore because I don't care for the "New Management" of Zazu and Iago.

This view shows all the buildings encompassing the Sunshine Pavillion including the Sunshine Tree Terrace snack bar on the far right (which will be covered in a separate post).

An old photo showing the entrance. Note the citrus tree on the sign for the attractions sponsor the Florida Citrus Growers. Also note the sign above the awning which says "The Enchanted Tiki Birds" since this will change to "The Enchanted Tiki Room" later on. And one wouldn't want to miss those archaic ankle busting metal strollers that used to populate the parks which are parked out front.

An slightly newer shot of the entrance. This is after the Florida Citrus growers dropped sponsorship but prior to the Tiki Room being "Under New Management". I think it might be time to oust the new management!

Sign now reads "The Enchanted Tiki Room".

Exit doors.

Tikis on the wall outside the exit.

From the Swiss Family Treehouse.

Taken from the Swiss Family Treehouse, a nice view of the Sunshine Pavillion rooftops with Splash Mountain under construction in the background.

Two shots of a relaxing water garden next to the Tiki Room. This area was seriously reduced to make room for the addition of The Magic Carpets Of Aladdin attraction.

  1. Lovely photos from The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse! Ah, how I love Adventureland! I used to hate hearing, "Squawk! It's the Tiki Bird Show." What exactly is a Tiki?
