I chose the evening of the 18th to try some of the settings on my camera that I have yet to try. Perhaps I shoud read the manual but I figured to just go for it. The results are a mixed bag. While I love my camera in most situations, I have not been overly thrilled with the results when taking nighttime pictures even when using the settings designed for that purpose. One of these days I need to get a fully manual camera again (I still have my film camera but can't even imagine using it anymore).
A woodsy Christmas in Canada
I took multiple pictures of this tree at different points in the evening and couldn't get a single one to come out good. This was the best of the lot. I miss being able to manually focus.
