Caribbean Resort Video

A little video of the Caribbean Beach Resort that I just found on an old videotape. I believe this was filmed sometime in 1991. There was no audio to worth hearing so I added "Adventureland Jump" from the Disneyland Records release WE-3 Walt Disney World Adventureland Steel Band.

Horizons

One of my favorite attractions ever!  And boy, what a huge building.  This pavillion was all about the future, from what people in the past thought it would be to what we now dreamed the future could hold.  We got to see what it would be like to live undersea, in space, in futuristic cities and in deserts turned to fertile farmland.  Then we could choose our own mode of transportation back to the present.  This attraction is of course long gone having been replaced by Mission: Space.  Not that I dislike thrill attractions (on the contrary, I love them) but I've ridden Mission: Space maybe twice while I rode Horizons well over a hundred times.
With the Monorail gliding by!

Topiary Magic

I'm not sure when I picked up this little brochure (I always pick up anything I can that's free!) but it would have to have been after 1991 since on the Topiary Reading List section there is a book listed published in 1991.  It's neat that there is a picture of the floral mickey from the front of the Disney-MGM Studios (Disney's Hollywood Studios) since most people don't even know that it's there with it's odd position all the way down by the Friendship boat dock.

The House of Magic

The House of Magic was one of my favorite shops growing up.  I was a big magician geek (one of the few geeky things I actually outgrew) and this shop had all kinds of great magic tricks and scary accessories for me to spend my money on.  Along with the Penny Arcade this became part of the Hall of Champions in the mid-nineties.
