Fantasyland Skyway Station

The Fantasyland Skyway Station anchored the western end of Fantasyland for 40 years but now it's just a memory.  I can't even imagine how many hours I spent waiting in line here for the Skyway.  The lovely landscaping and soothing sounds of moving water were a nice distraction.  These pictures are all from the pre-digital era and from when the attraction was in operation.

Looking from they queue back out towards Fantasyland.

Looking back from whence we came.

That Creepy House On The Hill

Strange sights and sounds occur as you near the house on the edge of town.

Much has been written on the interwebosphere about the graveyard additions to the mansion.  There are only a couple of pictures of these additions here.  I personally don't care for them.  I always enjoyed the quiet menace of wondering what was to come upon entering the mansion.  The cartoony atmosphere of these additions is a distraction.  I think the interactivity is overrated and prevents the line from flowing the way it should.

First we'll board our vessel.

And his trusty dog.

There's plenty of wildlife in these parts.

Look out for Tree Snag Reef.
