I wish this was a higher resolution scan.  This is post 1986 EPCOT since Morocco is visible on the far side of World Showcase lagoon.  Norway and the Wonders of life are not yet built.  Note the wonderful, open entrance plaza without the clutter of the Leave A Legacy tombstones.  Horizons still shines brightly on the west (left) side of Future World.

Vintage View - Horizons and World Of Motion

I believe this was taken from the bridge leading to the then vibrant Odyssey Restaurant in January1990.  We gaze across the water towards the fantastic shapes and textures of the Horizons and World of Motion pavillions.  If only the monorail had been passing by as well!

Horizons

One of my favorite attractions ever!  And boy, what a huge building.  This pavillion was all about the future, from what people in the past thought it would be to what we now dreamed the future could hold.  We got to see what it would be like to live undersea, in space, in futuristic cities and in deserts turned to fertile farmland.  Then we could choose our own mode of transportation back to the present.  This attraction is of course long gone having been replaced by Mission: Space.  Not that I dislike thrill attractions (on the contrary, I love them) but I've ridden Mission: Space maybe twice while I rode Horizons well over a hundred times.
